My dog Truman

Truman
I had a little set back this week. I had my dog Truman for the last 12 years. Over this time he has become my friend and buddy. He would always greet me with the tail wagging and the look that said I am so glad that you are home. He loved to ride on the four wheeler to the field and check for wildlife. Of course he just loved to smell the air rushing past him.
This last Christmas he was having problems with his back leg and I took him to the vet. An x ray showed he had bone cancer. The vet gave him some pain pills and he was able to live normal until last week. He lost his ability to just wag his tail and eat some food. I knew the time had come to stop the pain and let him rest. Thanks to the vet for allowing him to exit with grace.
Started farming this week. Hoping for a better farming year than last year. It was a dry winter with very little snow. This spring has above normal rain and allows me to plant some spring crops. I use spring crops for crop rotation with the winter wheat and to control weeds. Still looking at the market to decide what I will plant.

Sorry to hear about Truman. Always hard when dogs die. I like to remember dogs never live a moment of regret, every day is always the best ever. Even their last.
