This last week I have been working on my farm truck.  I keep thinking that I need to do just a few more things before it will be ready to go for next year. 

First we started looking for a leak on the transmission.  Trouble light in hand and grease up to my elbows I discovered that the leak was coming from the power brake unit on the firewall of the truck.  I call the dealer and talk to the repair shop.  I was so surprised when the mechanic told me that they do not work on trucks older than ten years and that they could not get the parts anymore for this older unit.  I almost told him that my older truck was a 1976 model and it only had 67,000 miles on it. 

I found a repair shop in Spokane that will rebuild this unit if I bring it in and drop it off.  I did just that and I hope to have the truck healed up for the summer season. 

Wish me luck on this one!!! Why do I have this feeling that things never go as planned on stuff like this?
