This last weekend I had class reunion for the class of 1972! It was good to see some old class mates.
It was the spring of 1972 when I graduated from high school in Wilbur Washington. It is now spring of 2012 and 40 years have gone by way too fast. Where did the years go? I went to college, got married raised two kids, farmed and had a lot of fun along the way. When I graduated in 1972 time seemed to drag and I just couldn’t wait to get out of the school and head off to college. Now time just seems to fly by and as I turn around another year has gone by.
My son left for college last year and it seems like 19 years just flew by. When my son goes off to college he leaves such a big hole in my life. I miss the high school sports, his friends, and the connection to the other parents. I have to wonder if my parents missed me when I left for college all those years ago.
I hope in 40 years my kids will look back on high school and wonder how 40 years went by so fast. Remember to enjoy the moments that make up your life.
