When it comes to producing  big bucks food plots are a very important part of the puzzle. We decided to put in a few of these around the farm this year to help the bucks we have grow a little bigger. We started out plowing the ground up with the plow in the areas we thought would produce the best plots. The next step in the process is to harrow the ground so that it is level. After this is done you can apply the seed, we did this with a 4 wheeler mounted broadcast spreader.  The last step is to run the harrow again over the food plot to mix the seed into the ground.  We planted our food plots at the begging of May hoping that after we planted them it would rain, and guess what it did. It has been a week since we planted the food plots so I made a trip out to see how they looked. To my  surprise we all ready had a plot with new growth all over it, cant wait to see the end results.
