Truman out for a ride
My dog Truman has become one of my best friends. He was named Truman after the president Harry S Truman who had the motto of THE BUCK STOPS HERE. We wanted Truman to keep the deer out of our yard. He has given up on that job and now says come on in and have a bite.
Two weeks ago Truman hurt his front right paw and I have no idea how. I know he often times runs down to neighbors place to play with their dog. He usually returns before dark but that night I had to go pick him up and his paw was hurt so bad that I had to take him to the vet the next morning. The vet could find nothing wrong or broken, but he has limped on three legs the last two weeks. He is doing much better now.
His age is unknown as he came to us from the pound. He is a mix breed and has a really good sprit. Our UPS driver was so concerned about his hurt paw that he made an extra stop last week just to check up on him and see how he was doing.
I like how your dog becomes such a part of your family. He is always glad to see me when I come home, he never yells at me, and he never tells me I am wrong. He is just this kind, loyal friend.
Do you own your pet or does your pet own you? I think it is a little of both!
