Hunting Season recap so far Oct 27th 2012……

Well finally I have a chance to catch my breath before the late muzzelaoder, Palouse and late Turkey seasons start up again. Its been a busy fall with archery, muzzleloader and modern firearm all going better than I think we all expected. We are having around a 60% success rate so far on the farm. We have had a few of the biggest bucks I can remember ever being taken during the modern firearm season taken this year. I want to contribute that to the fact that we have been feeding them very well throughtout the year. The disabled hunt we gave away to the 5 lucky hunters on the opening day of modern firearm was also a success with 3 of the 5 guys getting deer and one of them big Mike got a nice little 4×3 whitetail buck, congradulations to those guys and a big THANK YOU to everyone who helped or donated to tmake that hunt a success.  The weather during rifle season was windy ,rainy and just not very nice. The one day in the middle of the week that was nice we had 4 hunters with deer down at one time that evening, man was that exceiting. Muzzeloader was slow as far as hunters so Mel and myself had a chance to get out and hunt a little ourselves. I took a nice 4×3 Mule Deer with the muzzleloader my first ever with a smoke pole, and Mel well lets just say she had her 3 chances at some of the farms nicer Mulie bucks LOL.. I guess  there’s always the late season Mel and Whitetails LOL. Remember all of you who hunt Archery next year that we will be  running a deal on those hunts. You will receive a extremely discounted hunting price to help us harvest Doe, so please all you Archery hunters get ahold of us and book a hunt. Remember to  sign up for any of the free hunts we give away, you never know you just might win one of them I will add a couple of the pics of the successful hunters we had this fall so far to the gallery, so check that out. Remember if you got drawn for the late Palouse tag or you hunt Muzzleloader we still have a few openings for guided and unguided hunting this fall.  If Turkeys are what you want to hunt we also have openings for the late fall Turkey season coming up at the end of November. Come hunt and fish with us you wont be sorry you did….Not only will you get to hunt and fish but you’ll make some new friends as well…Hope to see you all out at the farm sometime soon….Craig
